How can we be saved from the power of addictions?

"All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"(Romans 3:23).

The Bible shows that human beings are all sinners, from the moment that Adam, the first ancestor of humankind sinned in the Garden of Eden. From then on, all human beings have been incapable of warding off temptation and sin.

"And all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24)

The Bible shows that there is only one way humans can be delivered from sin. God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to this earth so that He would die on the cross and wash away the sins of humankind. Jesus was sinless, and on the third day after His death, God resurrected Jesus. Therefore now God forgives the sins of all who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ according His providence.

"Through Jesus Christ the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death"(Roman 8:2)

God gives eternal life and the Holy Spirit to all those who accept and follow Jesus Christ as their Lord. He enables His people to be set free from the law of sin and death.

The Bible teaches us that the only way we can be free from tobacco, alcohol, drugs, and all the power of sin and death is by repenting our sins and believing in Jesus Christ. Through faith in Jesus, we are able to receive the Holy Spirit and live new lives within our individual families, nation, and humanity.
