On April 26th, President Young-Joo Kim of the Korean Women's Christian Temperance Union announced at the directors' meeting for the National Council of Women that the International Council of Women (ICW) was founded to promote child and family wellbeing in homes. She announced that political voting rights have been gained by the organization and introduced the Women's Council's history and mindset.  

Furthermore, she encouraged the elected candidates to the National Assembly that they must practise politics that protect the elderly, youth, and disadvantaged. She emphasised that government funds must stop being wasted on alcohol consumption and alcohol-related problems.
